Runaway Productions (India) Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL) was established in 2000 as a full service production house. Besides producing their own shows and films, Runaway Productions also offers creative and production consulting services to other production houses and broadcasters.
RPPL is actively engaged in creating and producing original TV shows, made-for-TV movies, radio shows, ad films/corporate films and documentaries.
The company has been at the forefront of innovative concepts in television and other audio visual media with path breaking shows like "Movers & Shakers" and "The Great Indian Comedy Show" and India's first spoof movie, "Ghoom."
RPPL's future plans include producing feature films, creative consulting and line production for features and brand related audio visual solutions.
About the Founder:
Mr. Sailesh Dave, the founder of Runaway Productions has been responsible for some of the most creatively challenging shows on Indian television.
Besides the entertainment industry, Mr. Dave's background includes long stints in advertising, marketing and international consulting in USA and India.
Mr. Dave was the CEO of In House Productions during the late '90s. While at In House, the company grew from its humble start to more than 100 employees and was one of the largest production houses in the country.
Mr. Dave started Runaway Productions in the year 2000. RPPL has grown over the years through a combination of original shows conceptualized and produced by them as well as offering creative and production consulting services to other top production houses and broadcasters.
The genre of programming independently created / produced or supervised by Mr. Dave spans multiple TV formats. During his work in Television, Mr. Dave has created late night chat shows, sitcoms, news spoof shows, sketch comedy, made-for-TV movies, short format content, breakfast shows, daily soaps, game shows and spoof movies.
Mr. Dave’s television work has been seen on Star Network, Zee, TV Today Network, MTV, Sony Entertainment Television, Doordarshan, UTV Networks, NDTV Good Times and Star One.
